Trevor’s approach to art is functional, focusing on technical excellence. He learned his skill at an early age working alongside his father, later honing his expertise in Australia to become a master metal worker. On his return to SA he settled in Plettenberg Bay where for the last 25 years he has enhanced the homes of discerning clients both locally and abroad. Finding beauty in his surroundings his stylized organic pieces mirror nature.
Lyn is the creative side of the couple bringing a delightful sense of the whimsical and quirky to what she terms ‘functional art.’ A graduate of the Johannesburg College of Art where she won several awards for her metal sculptures, Lyn is perfectly suited to taking practical items in the home and together with Trevor, turning them into a blend of classical form with an edgy African twist. Smitten not only with each other, but also with each other’s good taste husband- and-wife duo work collaboratively to create a fusion between art and decor their original approach takes the mundane and elevates it into something beautiful and unique.
